About
With a strong academic background in law and business, including an LLM and MBA, along with a Certificate of Eligibility from the Solicitors Regulation Authority, I am well-qualified to teach law at a high level. My experience as a solicitor and advocate, both in Pakistan and the UK, has provided me with practical insights into legal practice, which I can integrate into my teaching.
As a lifetime member of the Lahore Bar Association, I have represented clients in complex cases before the Honourable High Court and District Court. This experience has sharpened my legal reasoning, advocacy, and case analysis skills—essential qualities for a law lecturer.
Beyond legal practice, I have worked with the NHS and Citizens Advice Bureau, offering guidance to individuals on legal and social issues. These roles have strengthened my ability to communicate complex legal concepts in an accessible manner, a crucial skill for engaging students effectively. My recent experience as a cover teacher has also reinforced my ability to manage classrooms and adapt my teaching methods to different learning styles.
The qualities and approach I would bring to the new job
During my previous experience as a lecturer, I ensured that every learner had equal access to learning resources and the opportunity to succeed. I focused on making sure that students not only understood the material being taught but also applied it effectively in their studies. As a result, my students consistently achieved high grades, bringing recognition and success to the institution.
I strongly believe in and actively promote equality and diversity in education, creating an inclusive environment where students from all backgrounds feel valued and empowered. I bring a student-oriented approach to teaching, ensuring that my lectures are not only informative but also interactive and thought-provoking. I believe in bridging the gap between legal theory and real-world application, using case studies, debates, and practical examples to enhance students' understanding.
Additionally, my multicultural experience and professional background allow me to offer a diverse perspective on law, helping students appreciate its global dimensions. I am committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to engage in discussions, think critically, and develop essential legal skills.
My ability to mentor students, provide career guidance, and contribute to the academic community makes me a strong candidate for this role. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment to legal education to your institution.
