About
As a Managing Consultant and a Transformation/ Transition/ OCM Programme Manager, I looked at the bigger picture always assessed the situation from a strategic perspective. My MBA and Engineering qualification underpins my focus and approach. The understanding of Transformation, Transition and Organisation Change Management always encouraged me to look at the solution approach from a long-term perspective.
Business Transformation Programme requires implementation the Target Operating model and Service management framework for Business/ Operations. The transformation exercise focussed on Service Management structure in alignment with the products in order to maximise customer experience and delight. The programme involves building capabilities by defining To-Be processes and associated SLA’s with KPI’s. This can also define parameters for suppliers build their service delivery. The additional functionalities of the tools/ systems supports the To-Be processes. The Service Management framework provides the support framework. Platform Operational performance such as 'Right First Time' and 'Cycle Time' can be defined in support of the framework. MI/BI tools and data mining can demonstrate the upwards trajectory and evidence of performance.
The overall purpose is to implement tools/ systems/ process/ people in alignment with the mission, vision, goals and objectives by structuring the strategic roadmap using the Porter’s five forces model.
All of this is done by carefully managing scope, budget, timeline, RAID, stakeholders/ team (RACI) by keeping one eye on the OKR. The identified and benefits are realised with a systematic organisational change management approach.
