I worked as a part of a bigger team, which would include other school staff, to ensure that we achieved the goal of giving our best to children and ensure they had access to learning without any kind of discrimination.
I am person who is pro-active in my work and always think of ways which can benefit my students, organization that i work for. I believe that the only thing constant in life is change and this belief of mine has always helped me in adapting to any changes, be it in professional or personal life. In fact, always look forward to a change.
About
I am working at 'The Vine' campus of Leeds City College as a Trainer. I joined this college in June 2024. My current responsibilities are:
A. Plan and deliver lessons according to the specific needs of each child within a group of children to support their progress in learning as per the outlined outcomes and their respective EHCP.
I plan, prepare and deliver the schemes of learning inline with the curriculum and respective EHCP target for each student and always adapt the teaching plan as per the specific needs of students by observing and assessing their approach to learning.
B. Lead lessons to learners in line with the objectives for each child and their respective EHCP goals/targets.
C. Create resources to teach, engage, develop learners skills for an adult life and upload all supporting evidence on Navigate as appropriate.
D. Assess/review the progress for each child and feed it back in a way which helps them develop their abilities and understanding.
I use positive reinforcement to motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills to enable progression and reflect on what works best in teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of students.
I deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules. I employ effective assessment activities for identified modules by assessing student work and provide constructive and timely feedback to motivate and inspire them to improve and record each learners’ progress for identified modules.
I develop and strengthen relationships with learners by taking care of their well being and positive communication to provide support to ensure successful outcomes.
Previously I have worked at Richmond Hill Academy, as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. I worked as part of a team to support students in their leaning after identifying strategies and delivering it based on needs of each student.
I also supported students on a one on one basis and helping them attain the required learning levels.
Prior to that I worked in India as Teacher at Clarence Public School, Bangalore, India from May 2016 to September 2019. I worked with young people (students aged 12 and 13 years), managed the tweenage and teenage behavior by understanding them that how their body goes through hormonal changes where they need someone who understands them first keeping a calm, firm and confident demeanor at the same time.
I worked as part of team to understand teenage behavior and prepare them for the impending adulthood and guide them through this transition.
I helped the children with their learning by observing them first and assessing them later and always helped them as per their needs.
