Salary: MPS/UPS £31,957 - £50,062 + TLR 2D £5,659

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (32.5 hours per week)

About the Role:

As the Head of Art, you will lead and manage the Art department, ensuring scholar progress throughout Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be responsible for planning and teaching engaging lessons, supporting period 6 sessions, and contributing to a safe and supportive environment founded on high expectations and mutual respect.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach a planned timetable of 38 periods per two-week cycle.
Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
Monitor and assess pupil progress and attainment.
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development.
Organize and participate in motivating trips and events.
Lead and manage quality assurance processes within the department.
Act as a role model of professionalism and positivity.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status and a good honours degree.
Evidence of outstanding teaching and personal success in leading a subject area.
Knowledge of high-quality educational provision and strategies for raising achievement.
Experience in managing a team and working in diverse school environments.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
