The TEC Partnership is one of England’s largest providers of further and higher education. With a rich history of developing innovative training and education solutions for the community, the Partnership comprises of the Grimsby Institute, University Centre Grimsby, Scarborough TEC, formerly known as Yorkshire Coast College, East Riding College, Skegness TEC, formerly known as Lincolnshire Regional College, The Academy Grimsby, which offers an alternative educational route for gifted 14-16 year olds, and Career 6, the next generation of sixth form focusing on career paths.
We first started working with the TEC Partnership when they approached us with some Engineering roles they were struggling to fill. We were able to immediately recommend a new approach for them, targeting industry professionals rather than focussing on traditional FE job boards. We worked with them to develop their job adverts to pitch them at their new target audience, recommending which crucial elements to include to attract the right candidates.
We are delighted to have now been working with the team for over 5 years. Our longstanding relationship means we have become a trusted extension of their HR function, developing a deep understanding of their requirements and working collaboratively with them to find the right candidates.
From the initial brief, we advise the team on every element of their requirement, including making small amends to the wording of the job title to be more recognisable during candidate searches, changing details of the role which will be more appealing to their target audience and comprehensive reporting to facilitate future learning once the position has been filled to explore which methods provided the best results.
“We’ve found Richard and Sharron incredibly helpful and responsive in a situation that requires a lot of attention to detail, knowledge and patience. We appreciate their fast response and helpful manner no matter what the query.”

Are you promoting your College benefits?
Benefits, benefits, benefits!!! Don’t hide them, shout about them!
The recent levelling up premium payment scheme announcement is very welcome within FE. However, this doesn’t apply to all subjects and compared to industry, college salaries remain below market rate.
A recent study by Aviva showed that almost one in five (18%) of UK workers feel that there isn’t enough information available to them about their employer’s staff benefits packages.
